Peter Erickson and Kent Liggett are sad to announce that effective August 14th
1550 Hyde Café & Wine Bar will be closing it doors.
We thank everyone in the community for their support for seven wonderful years,
Unfortunately the declining economy of 2009-10 has made it impossible for us to continue on.
Please come down over the next several weeks and raise a glass with us, sign our guestbook and toast to the future.
Thanks especially to all our local organic farmers who brought us such wonderful ingredients all these years. Please help fill our void and buy from your local farmers and the restaurants that continue to support them.

1550 Hyde Cafe & Wine Bar is located at Pacific and Hyde on Russian Hill.

We are open Tuesday through Thursday from 6pm to 9:30pm, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday.


Every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month is now "Get Lit" night from 7-9 pm

(we have three writers on staff, so we gave them the restaurant on Mondays)

Bring in your poetry, short story or non-fiction writing, give a reading and have a little wine. Bringing back the Literary Salons of old San Francisco.

Allen Ginsberg would be proud....

Tuesdays are free corkage nights, feel free to bring in your own wine and we'll give you fancy glassware...

Wednesday is live music night, with two guitars, like a later Robert Fripp, also members of the league of crafty guitarists, playing their original compositions


Parking is available at Polk and Pacific at the Jug shop parking lot. Mention that you are dining with us and the price for parking is $6 weekdays and $7 for Friday and Saturday.
